For me, 2023's biggest impact was
managing the transition from scarce
inventory due to Covid induced supply
chain constraints to readily available
inventory. It was another great year and
with that came the realization that you are
only as good as the team you have around
you. Identify good people and give them
the opportunity to grow.
The connections NARSA has brought me
continue to pay dividends every day. Just
minutes before I wrote this, I reached out to
an international NARSA buddy to solve an

As far as 2023's biggest impact, I'm going
to cheat and name people instead of an
event - My children! Everyone tells you that
once you have children everything changes
and that time starts to accelerate, and they
are not lying. I can't believe it has been
another year since writing my last profile
for The Cooling Journal. We have finished
one wrestling season, survived gymnastics
and swim lessons, transitioned from 1st
grade into 2nd grade and started Pre-K.
Tried out soccer and LaCrosse and started
another wrestling season. Taken family
trips to Lake of the Ozarks, Milwaukee, Des
Moines, and North Carolina. Everyday Alice
and Lucy surprise me with how much they
pay attention to the world around them and
the perspective they can share from their
tiny eyes. Nothing feels better than to hear
" DADDY " when you walk in the door and
see 2 giant smiles running at you to give
you a great big hug.
issue. There isn't a week that goes by where
I'm not reaching out for help or answering a
call from another member.
As far as my business goals in 2024, we
have brought on a brand new coil line
that is doing well and we will continue to
grow that portion of the business. We will
also continue to grow and market our fast
custom radiator solutions to the mainland
United States.
I am looking forward to a lot of quality
time with my family as we have various
vacations planned for 2024. I have also
been training for a half ironman triathlon in
March. This will be my first, and I'm looking
forward to crossing the finish line!
to bottom. And having the right person
in the wrong seat leads to errors and
stress to the team as well. In 2024, we will
continue to find the right person to fill our
seats. 2024 is the year we continue our
transition into the modern day. We have
had a number of key personnel retire over
the last few years and our team is getting
younger. We have added a new ERP
system that seems to be really taking off
and has more potential to unlock and we
plan to do those things in 2024.
We talk about " Right Person, Right Seat "
a lot in EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating
System), and that was absolutely driven
home for me in 2023. I have a number of
key personnel that have joined our team
over the last few years and are absolutely
the Right Person in the Right Seat. We
continue to evaluate every employee to
determine if they are a fit for our culture
and if the job they are doing is a fit for their
strengths. Having the wrong people on your
team adds a ton of stress to everyone top
I always look forward to the NARSA NIT.
I can wait for Fall 2024 to connect with
NARSA friends and see another part of
the world. I'm excited to spend a week in
Chicago for the HD Conference at Diesel
Radiator. They are a long time customer
and we are excited to support them
as they show the NARSA membership
what they do. I have a trip to Kansas City
planned in March to watch the NCAA
wrestling tournament. It does not look
promising for my Hawkeyes, but if a few
breaks go their way, I think they can
finish with a trophy.
