NARSA/IDEA Celebrates 70 Years
For me, some of the most important
parts of NARSA were the networking
and the chance to connect and
share information. We also were
fortunate enough to have made many
lifelong friends. Never did we go to
a convention or conference that we
didn't pick up some information that
we were able to implement at our
shop. NARSA was family!

NARSA President (1996-1998)

70 years of small business owners
proudly representing their families
and supporting their communities
and their country through hard
work, determination and unwavering
brotherhood. NARSA members
represent integrity and perseverance
in an industry that will forever be
changing ... my hat goes off to
NARSA and all of its members.
Jim Holowka
NARSA President (2008-2010)
Erie Radiator & Core Sales, INC.
NARSA and I both turned 70 this year.
I remember the big trip (vacation)
my parents took every year when I
was young was to the NARSA annual
conventions. The fi rst convention
I remember I think was in 1968 in
Chicago, and the reason I remember
that one was because of the riots going
on over the DNC convention going on at
the same time.
Refl ecting on 70 years of NARSA has
me remembering how many of the
great people I have been so privileged
to spend time with discussing not
just business but family. The father to
son to son evolution of the radiator
industry continues to be unique!
Hoping it continues for a long time.
Randy Lalonde
NARSA President (2004-2006)

Canada)
What Does
70 Years of
NARSA Mean
to You?
We asked a few of NARSA's past
presidents what this major milestone
means to them:
As a recent Past President, NARSA
celebrating 70 years gives me
perspective on how many amazing
people have come before me to help
pioneer and lead the way for my
generation.
I remember being at the 60th
anniversary 10 years ago. It was my
third NARSA event ever and I hadn't
joined the board yet. In 10 years, I've
seen a number of board members
come and go, so many great people
become active in the association and
other amazing people retire from
the industry, and NARSA survive the
pandemic and come out the other side
stronger and in position to go another
70 years. "
Aaron Morrow
NARSA President (2018-2020)
Johnson Mfg (Princeton, Iowa)
Growing up in the radiator business,
attending NARSA regional conferences
and annual national conventions was
always part of being in the industry.
I have seen a lot of change in the
industry in the past 50 plus years that
I have been involved. The number of
friends and mentors that I met because
of my involvement with NARSA is
amazing, and many are still friends
today. I have always been amazed
of the men and women who have
generously taken on leadership roles
in NARSA to give back to the members
of the association. Here are a few of
mentors and friends I had the pleasure
of knowing because of my involvement
with NARSA- Simon Oulouhojian,
Charlie Braswell, Alice Holowka, Bob
Fett, Pat O'Connor, Don Hart, Dave
Doll, Warren Rich, Angelo Miozza, Mark
Taylor, Daryl Bippert, Wayne Juchno,
Mike Dwyer, Joan Williamson and many
more. Best wishes to NARSA for 70
years and thanks to all the men and
women who made it possible!
Jim Butitta
NARSA President (2000-2002)
Butitta Brothers Radiator (Rockford,
Illinois)
I'm proud to see that NARSA has been around for 70 years! I'm also thankful for all the
relationships I've built through NARSA since I was a teenager, and all the great NARSA
member business and industry leaders who always took the time for me. With the
help of NARSA and its many members and friends, our shop has stood the test of time
through 4 generations. The camaraderie, the information exchange, the Conventions,
International tours, Regional Ed/Tech meetings, NARSA Service Reports, tech line, all
the many member benefi ts experienced more than made the investment worthwhile.
But when you add up the friendships made along the way, NARSA truly becomes that
priceless institution that no shop should ever be without.
Chuck Braswell
NARSA President (2008-2010)
