we've awarded more than 300 scholarships worth more than $380,000
since 1995. Assisting with these efforts is the support we received from
members like you at the auction and
foundation t-shirt sales at the Annual
Conference on Explosives and Blasting
Technique as well as your donations
throughout the year.
* We began a reinvestment program in
our operating assets by investing in
computer equipment upgrades to accommodate the transition from the
now unsupported, more vulnerable
Windows XP operating system to the
Windows 7 environment.
* We also implemented improvements
to our headquarters in Cleveland,
Ohio. The ISEE office rehabilitation began with the relocation of the HVAC
units creating a safer parking and sidewalk area for staff with reduced winter
ice buildup caused by HVAC condensation. Additional repairs were completed with the doorways and window

* ISEE continued to grow its footprint
in the blasting community as we increased the number of chapters and
stimulated global interest for starting
an ISEE chapter.
* The ISEE team made great strides in
delivering our vision through its strategic plan.
These accomplishments and investments have set us up for strong revenue
growth for the coming years and preserves important ISEE assets.
For ISEE, our 40th anniversary in
2014 was not just an arrival point, it was
also a pivot point. Even as we celebrated
our relevant history, we also moved into
a new phase of the organization's existence. We remain just as committed to
the blasting community - to its chapters,
its donors, and its leaders - but with the
kind of intensity that only comes with
four decades of experience. We're not
just looking at what we've accomplished
but are asking, "Where do ISEE and the

blasting community need to be 40 years
from now? How do we get there?"
ISEE is addressing these questions in
many ways - mainly through its strategic plan. We're also looking at how we
can support and grow ISEE membership
and chapters. We're focusing on our relationships with other like organizations
in the mining industry around the world,
collaborating with each other where it
makes sense. We're growing and managing scholarship funds to help seize
opportunities and secure interest in the
explosives industry for generations to
come.
None of us at ISEE pretend to have all
the answers. We do know, however, that
the passion, dedication, and generosity
of people like you have made it possible
for us to make it this far. We also know
that with your support, the next chapter
of our history holds enormous promise
for the entire blasting community.
