Angel Flight (Northeast Chapter), a
Massachusetts-based charity that arranges
free air transportation mostly within the
Northeastern and Atlantic states of the
U.S. for individuals requiring medical treatment; and
Reach for a Dream, a South African
charity that aims to inspire hope by helping to fulfill the dreams of terminally sick
children between 3 and 18 years old.
I am delighted to report that, for 2014,
the ISTAT Foundation has increased the
budget for humanitarian causes, and so the
committee is now seeking other projects
or charities that have an aviation link to
them. We welcome suggestions from ISTAT
members as to where we may best apply
these funds in future, and I would personally like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone with an interest in becoming
involved in our humanitarian activities to
get in touch with me either by email, phone
or at ISTAT Americas in March.
