Dear fellow ISTAT members,
Well, here we are again, gearing up for another ISTAT Americas conference,
this one being the 33rd, held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona
on March 8-10, 2015.
We head to Arizona with the industry in its best condition in recent memory
with a perfect storm of low oil prices, low interest rates, adequate liquidity and
modest growth in the industry. You can be sure that ISTAT Americas Chairperson
Mary Prettyman and her committee are working hard to put on a very stimulating
conference that I am sure you will all enjoy.
We also find ourselves at the end of my term as your president, and I want
to thank each and every one of you for your support. I especially want to thank
my fellow board members and foundation trustees for all their hard work in all
aspects of the operation of ISTAT and the foundation. There is much that goes
on behind the scenes during the year to provide our members with superior
conference and event experiences, and we should all be thankful for the hard
work and dedication of these board members and foundation trustees.
I pass the baton to my good friend Marc Allinson who will take over as president
at the end of ISTAT Americas, and I wish him well and look forward to supporting
him during his term. Marc will surely be a great president and will continue to
move the organization forward.
Thanks again to all, and I am looking forward to having a beer with each of
you at ISTAT Americas.
