While manufacturers were busy making record-breaking deals, ISTAT set its own records with 1,200 visitors at the ISTAT Chalet, which
was open to members and business guests 14-19 July as a meeting space and location to visit with other ISTAT members. The exclusive
location provided easy access to the static air exhibits as well as fantastic views of the daily airshow. As in previous years, members
relished the opportunity to cool off from the heat in a space dedicated to them. Members and their guests also gathered at the ISTAT
Reception on Monday evening at the iconic Grosvenor House, A JW Marriot Hotel, to celebrate the start of the airshow. With more than
1,000 attendees at the reception, it's no doubt this was the place to be to kick off the week-long event.

delivered retired FedEx aircraft 727-200F
N481FE to TAG at former RAF Lasham the
day before, the group is celebrating the
transfer-of-title, the first-ever aircraft
closing held at an ISTAT Chalet. TAG is
also a new ISTAT member.
