ISTAT Past President Jep Thornton spends time with two of the guests
from the Robert-Debre' Children's Hospital.
The event made a lasting impression on everyone involved-
most importantly, the 18 guests of honor from Robert-Debre'
Children's Hospital. "It was the best day of my life," said one of
the children.
Veronique Richard, communications officer of Robert-Debre'
Children's Hospital, was most grateful to have had this opportunity for the children and their families.
"I thank you most sincerely for your kindness and your generosity to the young patients at the Robert-Debré Hospital and
their families," Richard said. "It was a beautiful day that we have
shared with you, and I'm sure the children will keep an unforgettable memory of it."
ISTAT President Marc Allinson and Past President Jep Thornton
were on hand with their spouses to enjoy the show and greet our
special guests. Allinson noted that it was an exceptional event, and
he is truly grateful to everyone who helped organize this fantastic
opportunity for the children and families. The smiles on the faces
of the children made it more than worthwhile. ISTAT hopes to continue to host similar experiences for children at future air shows.
The Robert-Debre' University Hospital is the largest French pediatric hospital in Paris. The hospital supports specialized pediatric
pathologies and rare diseases of children. The hospital is recognized
for the quality of care and its pediatric research. The center, which
opened in 1901, has more than 500 doctors, and 1,360 nurses,
nursing assistants and medical technicians.
ISTAT would like to recognize the following companies for
providing the children with exceptionally generous gifts: Airbus,
BOC Aviation, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, GES/SDD, L-3 and the
International Paris Air Show Team. Additionally, a very special
thank you to Doug Runte, ISTAT treasurer and 2015 Chalet chair,
for having the vision to open the ISTAT Chalet to this most
worthy cause.
