the ISTAT Latin
America Forum

With several events in the U.S., Europe
and Asia, ISTAT's global reach knows no
boundaries. Last year, ISTAT launched the
inaugural ISTAT Latin America Forum in
Panama City, shifting focus to a growing region slated to become a powerful
component of the aviation industry. On
9-10 November 2016, the ISTAT Latin
America Forum returns to Panama City
at the Hilton Panama to recognize Latin
America's contributions to the industry
and address questions and uncertainties
moving forward.
Beyond attending the conference to network with some of the largest players in
aviation and learn about Latin America's
rank in the industry, ISTAT members have
the opportunity to explore the beautiful
locales of Panama City before or after the
event. Jetrader has prepared a guide for
members' trips, listing five attractions to
visit before or after the Forum. From the
recently expanded Panama Canal to the
lush Soberania National Park, Panama City
and its surrounding areas offer a host of
exotic places to make any trip truly memorable. For members still on the fence about

1. The Panama Canal
Inarguably Panama's most recognized landmark, the Panama Canal connects the Atlantic
and Pacific Oceans. The canal spans 48 miles and is one of most important hubs for maritime trade. It celebrated its centennial in 2014, and in June a long-awaited $5 billion
expansion that doubled cargo capacity officially opened. The canal earns its reputation
as an essential sight to see for travelers, and ISTAT members can be some of the very first
to see the newly opened locks in action. Book a boat tour that traverses the entire canal
and watch history unfold.
