The relaunch of the program has proven
to be a complete success. Companies and
interns alike were complimentary of the
entire program-from the selection process to their individual summer experiences. In particular, all of the employers
were extremely impressed with the quality and contributions the students made
over the summer for their respective
organizations.
The foundation plans to expand the
program for summer 2015 and strongly
encourages further member participation.

The deadline to become part of this exciting
program is approaching. Candidates start
planning for their summer internship in the
late fall and early winter, so we want to
have as many positions as possible posted
by early January. If you would like to add
your company to the list of ISTAT intern
employers and participate in the program,

Each internship differs in time and content depending on the individual, the company and position offered. The guidelines
are not set in stone and allow flexibility
for all parties. This flexibility ensures both

Many students, especially those without
prior experience in the business, tend to
focus on airline and aircraft manufacturing jobs and rarely consider the possibilities in the leasing industry. Thanks to
ISTAT's outreach program to help educate
students and facilitate employers' hiring
processes, I was able to discover a new
path to explore-and at minimum to tell my
fellow students about opportunities they
may be missing because they are looking
in the wrong places."
The expansion of the aviation industry and the forecast growth over the next
decade will result in an increasing need
for industry professionals. Whether this
need exists with original equipment manufacturers, MROs, financiers or lessors, the
ISTAT Foundation remains focused on its
purpose and is positioned to assist with
this requirement by providing access to
quality education and development through
