Jetrader is a bi-monthly publication of the International
Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT). ISTAT was
founded in 1983 to act as a forum and to promote improved
communications among those involved in aviation and
supporting industries, who operate, manufacture, maintain,

engage in activities related to transport category aircraft.

Dear Fellow ISTAT Members,
In the illustrious words of Buster Poindexter, the 50th International Paris Air
Show was HOT, HOT, HOT!
The move of venue for the ISTAT Paris Air Show Reception from the Bois de
Boulogne to this year’s event at the Palais Brongniart in downtown Paris was a hit
for all who attended. And for those members who had the good fortune to visit
the ISTAT Chalet at Le Bourget during the show, the premium air conditioning was
a welcome tool for member networking. It truly was the “coolest” place at the
show! Reports from members who took advantage of the ISTAT Chalet indicated
that there was a lot of aircraft trading activity during the week. A note of thanks
to our reception committee co-chairmen, Dan Pietrzak, Phil Seymour and David
Sutton, our chalet chairman Doug Runte, as well as our ISTAT support staff of Ron
Pietrzak and Cynthia Cortis.
Our sponsors are the main reason that we are able to provide members with
these outstanding beneﬁts, and a very big thank you goes to those sponsors.

and reception starting on page 20.
With record attendance at both Paris Air Show ISTAT events, your board will
continue to keep the momentum going with improvements for upcoming events
and effective tools for member networking.
As the close of the air show brings summer upon us, we look forward to the
ISTAT Europe conference at Hotel Arts in Barcelona, Spain, from 6-8 October.
Barcelona was selected again by the board in response to the rave reviews from
members who attended the 2011 ISTAT Europe conference, which was held at the
same location.
