Rewards and Compensation
Retail Council of Canada (RCC) recently partnered with Morneau Shepell to conduct
the 2016 Reward Compensation Survey of the Canadian Retail Sector.
It's the second iteration of the report and is meant to highlight the package of
compensation and benefits costs that constitute a significant proportion of a
retailer's total operating expenses. The report takes a high-level view of the principal
components of compensation, including hourly and salaried wages, common
practices with respect to benefits, holidays and other compensation variables.

Compensation adjustments by Province
Respondents with stores in multiple provinces were asked to
provide an overall estimation of how compensation in each
province compares to their average salary.
