Fabric News Chanty Develops for Shapewear The German lace manufacturer Chanty is expanding its lace collections destined for shapewear by adding fashion into an otherwise functional segment. A series of lace created with elastomer fibers 480/I dtex for a stronger support, an assortment of fashion designs for a new twist on the traditional molding products. Beyond the classic color shades, the key color trends for summer 2012 come to the picture, including sage green, plankton, or light sky blue. Also, for a higher demand of watermark Textronic lace, Chanty has recently acquired a new MultibarJacquard Raschel loom by Karl Meyer, functioning as of last November. This new addition to the machinery fleet allows for greater elasticity options with results available in next season’s Chanty and Corvett Spitzen collections. Liebaert’s Shapewear Solutions The Belgian manufacturer strengthens its product offer with fabrics exclusively designed for shapewear. Thanks to an unyielding binding, the Magic Curve stitch sublimes all curves and shapes with refinement and delicacy. Also for the shapewear market, oriented toward body care, Liebaert partners with Nurel by introducing two of the Spanish company’s microfibers, bringing extra advantages to the fabrics and materials. Novarel Slim is a nylon microfiber full of cosmetic elements to help the body fight against the cellulite aggressions. With the use of caffeine, famous for stimulating blood circulation, microencapsulated in the fiber, the fabrics produced with Novarel Slim limit the accumulation of fat. As for Novarel Firming, this polyamide microfiber acts to keep the skin firm, tonic, and hydrated with the help of retinol, ceramide, and lipid microcapsules. An ideal formula for lingerie, especially for control and support girdles, Liebaert’s new fibers allow fabrics to keep their original quality, even after many washes. 178
