In terms of the baby boomers it’s important to not think about age but about lifestyle. For intimates and lingerie, this customer is looking for quality , comfort and support. With their higher levels of purchasing power, baby boomers are willing and able to pay for luxurious laces and silks. However the shape and fit must be appropriate and flattering. They understand their bodies, so they understand that for sex appeal, they need a little lift and tuck from their garments, but they also long for lasting comfort. Styles that have smoothing effects are vital.
The Baby-Boomer Power
The oldest of the baby boomers turned 64 in 2010. The youngest of the group will be 50 in 2014, not quite classified as senior citizens. They will defy what previous generations considered the meaning of old age. In the search for eternal youth, they will want health care products and books on meditation, menopause, and the joys of Viagra as they age.
