WITH AN ELEGANTLY INTRIGUING CONCEPT THE STORE IS THE FIRST STEP OF A PROJECT WHICH AIMS TO OPEN 10 BOUTIQUES OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS. FLAGSHIP STORE IN Frankie Morello By opening the first flagship store in the center of Milan, Pierfrancesco Gigliotti and Maurizio Modica, the heart and soul of the brand, aimed to create a store which went beyond the idea of shopping and embraced the concept of a space where emotions are key, making it ideal also to be used for exhibitions and events. Designed in collaboration with BPM Studio the store measures an area of 2153 ft2 and contains 2800 pieces of furniture and fixtures which create 8 “homey trunks” , a concept inspired by the works of artist Jorge de Oteiza, whereby the layout of the store can be continually changed according to the season and to the events staged. Inside, the distinctive trunks have oak paneling while on the outside they are sheathed in textiles with large stitching, which can also be interchanged to match or contrast collections. Neutral colors form the canvas of the store, including warm grays and sand, with a cement floor and oak beams . A natural lighting enhances the items on show which are comprised of all the Frankie Morello collections. Men and women’s intimate apparel and swimwear have a special dedicated section which also includes sportswear and t-shirts and is decorated with visuals of intimate apparel collections.
