Les Folies d’Elodie is the result of a passion transmitted by generations of mothers and daughters…When they both opened their boutiques – Nanou opened a ready-to-wear Les Folies d’Elodie venture in 1973 while her sister Cathy inaugurated Les Nuits d’Elodie, dedicated to lingerie, the following year – these two young women were inspired by their mother’s own women’s wear shop, located in Neuilly, and called Elodie. In 1978, Nanou and Cathy decided to open a flagship store in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, comprising both offers. Since renovation in 2004, the 1615 ft 2 boutique appears as a refined boudoir full of treasures. On one side of the store, the brand’s own lingerie and homewear – dominated by fine lace and silk – where glamour and comfort meet femininity: bras, boy shorts, g-strings, corsets and basques. Delicately displayed on golden racks, string vests, short and full-length nighties – the key product range at the origin of Les Folies d’Elodie’s 70’s success – play with plain or multicolored fabrics and prints which are renewed each season. To finish off, dressing gowns and luxurious bridal underwear complement the boutique’s great offer. Opposite, the boutique’s own ready-to-wear collection composed of suits, cocktail dresses, bustiers, adding to the already extra feminine general mood of the boutique. Dynamic as ever, Cathy, Nanou and Charlotte- Cathy’s daughter, who has joined this wonderful family saga – constantly search for new original ideas to expand Les Folies d’Elodie’s universe: recently the offer has been enriched with scents for the home, hot water bottles and even a line of accessories for dogs while Lefranc Ferrand provides a luxurious range of women’s wear and home accessories.
