As we continue to monitor and represent the lingerie and beachwear industry, its transformations and achievements, we here at BOI are continually and pleasantly surprised by the innovative information and merchandising BEST SH discoveries we make thanks to this industry event which represents both an occasion to celebrate what has been achieved and a starting point to look towards future innovations and trends. Here you will find a complete description of the contest's structure spanning from the exclusive brands that comprise the Jury to this year’s Finalists. An industry turning point In 2004, the Best Shop Awards was launched by The Best of Intima proving to be of great interest to the global industry and it has now successfully entered into its Fifth Edition. The importance of specialty stores in this industry peaked continues to be a defining element which has helped us to better understand the over-all industry market, needs and demands of consumers and merchandising trends by allowing us to discover ideas that have eternally modified “shopping”. For some, just a job, for others their life, and for consumers, what used to be a tedious need has become a realm of discovery, spoiled moments for hectic career/single women, mini get-aways for busy moms…the list goes on as shopping has shed its previous facade, and shop owners have answered back with a myriad of inspiring realities. II ZOE'S LACE 18 Exclusive Brands in the Jury 18 exclusive brands joined us with their astounding support by collaborating with BOI, as they recognized the significance of this joint industry venture. Each Brand was asked to nominate 15 stores they considered to be of a defining importance and filled out a questionnaire with precise information and comments to explain the store's nomination. BOI's team then proceeded in contacting each store to collect the required information for participation. We also allowed spontaneous candidates to participate as we believe this enables us to have a truly global picture. The stores were then divided into five Categories: Concept Store, European Flair, Personal Touch, Reference Shop, BOI’s Choice. The Finalists have now been selected, one of which, the lucky Winner of each Category will be revealed on August 3rd in New York.
