research hec About the HEC Foundation Founded in 1972 and recognized as a charity in 1973, the HEC Foundation's mission is to support management sciences in France, notably through the development of HEC Paris. The activity of the HEC Foundation has greatly accelerated in recent years due to the growing needs of HEC Paris in research and pedagogical innovation in a context of strong global competition between business schools. It is now essential for HEC to find private funding to carry out its development projects and supplement funds provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (12% of the annual budget of the School). In 2008, the HEC Foundation launched its first fundraising campaign with the objective to raise €100 million by 2013, and provide strategic funding to: * Contribute to the academic excellence and teaching at HEC Paris thanks to a world-class faculty and a cutting-edge management research * Offer to all deserving students the chance to study at HEC Paris, regardless of their financial means thanks to attractive scholarships. At the end of 2013, a total of €112 million were received in pledges. The HEC Foundation is supported by over 47 partner companies, 142 Major Donors and over 7,500 donors.
