Tale of a Sketch
A geometric layout
This layout both graphic and minimalistic, lends
itself to a lot of possible interpretations. One thing
is sure: with these central photos, these triangles
and the light and airy appearance, the layouts
inspired by this sketch are really trendy.

« I like taking photos with
my Polaroid. I have been
using it for nearly a year
now, but sometimes
I still forget to do the
right settings. When the
first photo is no good,
I take a second. This
happened a few times
when we were at the
seaside, for a weekend
in September. I decided
to make a layout from
them. I hope that this
will remind me to check
the settings twice before
pressing the shutter. On
this layout, you can see
the photo before and
afterwards. »
Materials :
Ula began by choosing her background paper. She matted the
photo onto several thicknesses
of paper. On the edges of the top
and bottom of the page, she stuck
some strips of isolating sticky
tape, masking tape and ribbon.
She stamped some triangles and

stuck on some wooden shapes.
Next she made some lines with
red and black pens and wrote the
date and the place. She added
the title and some red thread then
a camera cut out of printed paper.
She finished off with a few drops
of black ink.
