Wastewater Treatment Plant | Evans, Colorado
"Due to the Water Quality Control Commission in Colorado passing
new regulations in 2012 to improve water quality standards in
waterways, we planned and custom-designed a new wastewater
treatment plant for the City of Evans. It will treat flows from two
separate collection basins and will replace two existing lagoon
treatment systems. The new treatment plant will have a Johannesburg
process that will be capable of biologically removing phosphorus and
total inorganic nitrogen."

"In order to address improvements identified in a 2011 Rampart
condition assessment, a multi-year project was designed and
constructed. Included in this work were new isolation valve and vault
installations, air-vacuum valve and blow-off improvements, and the
replacement of existing in-line isolation valves critical to operations
on two pipelines. We also provided bidding and construction phase
engineering services."

Tesla Energy Dissipating Structure
(EDS) Phase 2 | Colorado Springs, Colorado
"This Colorado Spring Utilities' EDS facility receives water from
the Rampart Reservoir through the Stanley Canyon Tunnel and
serves as the bypass for the Tesla hydroelectric power plant that
feeds the McCullough/Pine Valley water treatment plant. Under
phase two of a design-build project with Garney Construction,
we worked on the fast-track retrofit, repair, replacement, design,
and construction of three 90-MGD, 36" diameter high-pressure
reduction raw water trains discharging to the EDS facility."

Hurricane Evacuation Study |
Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands
"In order to improve resilience after hurricanes, we are working
with USACE and FEMA on a hurricane evacuation study in
Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We are identifying
vulnerable populations and critical infrastructure exposed to
100-year floods and hurricane storm surge. We are also working
with local officials to determine evacuation zones."
