Every dollar of the fund will go directly to vetted charities
and organizations providing essential services for Ukraine.
Seventy-five percent of the fund will be awarded to our
long-term partner, Airlink, and the remaining 25% of the
fund will be awarded to a selection of partner NGOs through
the Humanitarian Committee, which will coordinate the
vetting and distribution. While the crisis will be ongoing and
will require support for years to come, this is a wonderful
opportunity for dollar matching, whether companies or
individuals contribute through this channel.
The Humanitarian Committee plans to shift focus further
to less developed parts of the world and also considering
where there is a positive impact on environmental impact
(ESG), flooding, climate catastrophes, or areas of urban
mobility - dealing with the " last mile " of disaster relief. Our
consideration will always include gender diversity and impact
to the environment in all our decisions.
While 2021 was another exceptional year, demanding
unique responses, we believe that change is good and will
stimulate further activities - and 2022 has so far taken
this to a totally different level. We also believe there is an
opportunity to consider longer term, and perhaps more
strategic, relationships with some of our regular charity
partners, as well as an opportunity for ISTAT to have a
long-term, lasting impact with a significant flagship project

There is also a place for the Humanitarian Committee
working with NGOs in crisis relief, but at the end of the day,
the committee represents you: ISTAT members. Without you
we would not have the opportunity to make a difference,
and for that, and on behalf of the whole committee and the
committees that have come before us, I would just say thank
you for everything you have done and everything you will do
in the future.
