ISTAT Jetrader - Winter 2022 - 47

Since conception, ISTAT U has
had 161 graduates. For the 2022
session, the Education Committee,
led by chair Bruce Dankberg, was
pleased to admit 25 students to
ISTAT 1.0 and 2.0. The committee
was also proud to offer scholarships
for applicants based on financial
need and funded US$35,500 in
scholarships this last year. Looking
forward, the committee is focused on
expanding the ISTAT U 1.0 program
to additional institutions in other
regions, including Europe and Asia,
over the next few years.

Stein (Maidstone).

The ISTAT Foundation, its volunteer
leaders and committee members
consider 2022 to be a successful year
focused on supporting organizations
that align closely with ISTAT and ISTAT
Foundation principles, including values
of diversity and inclusion. With the
support of its corporate and individual
donors, the ISTAT Foundation continues
to change lives across the globe. While
the ISTAT Foundation is grateful for
continued partnership and support from
ISTAT, it relies on supplemental funding
to sustain its efforts. Organizations
such as Jetran, Air Lease Corporation,
Pratt & Whitney, Aviation Capital
Group, Avolon, SMBC, ELFC, INAV,
GA Telesis, Standard Aero, AerFin,
Universal Asset Management, Vedder
Price, KP Aviation, AerCap, Falko,
Ascent Aviation Services, RESIDCO and
Gryphon Aviation Leasing, along with
individual donations, make up a portion
of contributions that help fund the
Foundation's efforts.
The Foundation is grateful for
contributions from its donor base
and the ISTAT community, especially
as the Foundation continues to grow
its development and fundraising
platform. The need for program growth
continues, as nearly US$2 million was
requested in 2022 through the various
giving programs, while the Foundation
only had the capacity to support less
than half of the requests received.
