author submission guidelines
If you are interested in writing an article for SYNERGY, submissions are requested as text saved in Word format and e-mailed to twojtalewicz@namss.org. You should include a one-paragraph biography and an author photo if available (300 dpi or better if submitted electronically). If you send an original photo print, send to Managing Editor, SYNERGY (NAMSS), 401 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 2200, Chicago, IL 60611. All articles are subject to acceptance and editing. Author’s e-mail address may be published unless the author requests otherwise prior to publication. The ideal length of articles is 500–750 words and accompanied by quality photographs (color or black/white) and hard copy backup of any charts, graphs, or other supporting artwork. All articles are subject to publication at the NAMSS Web site at www.namss.org. Industry-related articles normally appear within three issues of receipt.

guidelines for ce article submissions
Anyone submitting an article published in SYNERGY is eligible for NAMSS approved credits. The article must address an industry-related issue or topic, and must be at least 1,500 words. The author also must include 10 True/False or multiple choice questions and answers that relate clearly and directly to the article’s content. Articles should be sent to the SYNERGY managing editor. Request for credits must be made in writing and must accompany the article. Upon receipt of the article, it will be determined whether or not the article meets the criteria. If it does, it will be forwarded to the editor of SYNERGY for eligibility confirmation. A maximum of three credits for each accepted article will be granted. The editor will notify the author of the article in writing of the number of credits awarded. Credits will not be granted on a retroactive basis. If the article does not meet the criteria for awarding credits, the editor will notify the author of the article in writing. CE articles appear in the order in which they are received, unless content is deemed time-sensitive by the editor.
