NAMSS PASS™ State
Cooperative Outreach Program

D

uring the 2013 NAMSS Leadership
Conference held in January 2014,
NAMSS announced the NAMSS PASS
State Cooperative Outreach Program. This
program provides an organized framework
whereby State Associations and their members
can benefit from NAMSS discounted pricing
for NAMSS PASS as well as earn scholarship
funds that each State can grant to its members.
In the continuing effort to create beneficial
programs for affiliate State Associations, the
NAMSS PASS State Cooperative Outreach
Program rewards State Associations if they
decide to participate in the program. This
program encourages each State to promote
the NAMSS PASS initiative consistently to
its members. The program elements for the
States include:

* Promotion of the NAMSS PASS Training
webinars (which provide 1 hour CE credit)
on a regular basis
Based on the levels of participation achieved
by each State, NAMSS will provide valuable
benefits to the State Associations, including:
* $500 coupons that can be applied to
NAMSS online Education Courses for
every 10 facilities that become
Contributing Entities in NAMSS PASS
(e.g., If your state achieves 100 facilities
that join, that is worth $5,000 in
education coupon funds for your State.)
* NAMSS member discounts to NAMSS
PASS subscriptions for all State members,
if just 50% of your State's member
facilities participate

* Active participation by the State Association
to promote the NAMSS PASS initiative

* Additional 20% discount on subscriptions
for early participants

* Distribution of monthly promotional
NAMSS PASS emails to their members

* If the State is able to achieve and
maintain at least 80% of the membership
participating in NAMSS PASS, the State
Association earns 5% in Sponsorship Funds

* Distribution of NAMSS PASS flyers at their
annual and quarterly meetings

NAMSS Call for Board Nominations Opens April 29

AMSS members, are you interested
in taking your career and
involvement with NAMSS to the next
level? Keep an eye out for this year's call for
Board Nominations, opening April 29, 2014.
NAMSS will collect applications for the
following Board of Directors positions:
* Secretary/Treasurer (1)
* Director-At-Large (3)
Eligibility qualifications for each position are
the following:

Directors at Large:
* State President/President-Elects must
complete their term in their respective state
prior to assuming the duties of the Board

* Must have demonstrated experience on a
NAMSS committee or State Association
Board within the last five (5) years

* Must hold a current NAMSS certification
(either CPMSM or CPCS)

* Must be an active NAMSS member in
good standing for the past five years

* Must have previous experience as a
NAMSS Committee Chair or Vice Chair
or NAMSS Board member

* Must hold a current NAMSS certification
(either CPMSM or CPCS)

* Must sign and adhere to the NAMSS
Volunteer Leader Agreement

* Must sign and adhere to the NAMSS
Volunteer Leader Agreement

* Must demonstrate a proven track record
evidenced through input/recommendations
from peers

* Must demonstrate a proven track record
evidenced through input/
recommendations from peers

Secretary/Treasurer Position:

Criteria for both will be considered in
conjunction with formal education, years
in the profession, character references, and
interviews with the Nominating Committee.

* Active NAMSS member in good standing
for at least five years
