Climbing Higher: NAMSS Achievements in 2014

A
s the gateway to patient safety,
NAMSS is devoted to recognizing
and furthering the professional
growth of all medical staff professionals. The
past year has seen a number of successes for
the NAMSS, with significant growth of our
annual meeting and membership capping a
strong 2014. Recognition for the medical
services community is gaining momentum
- a trend that NAMSS is experiencing with
its own expansion in a variety of areas.
NAMSS membership grew steadily from
2010-2013, and we are pleased to report
that 2014 has been another record-breaking
year. We have surpassed our goal of 5,200
members, including a rapidly growing
affiliate membership. As we welcome new
MSPs into our ranks, we are delighted to see
that these numbers continue to grow yearly
with individuals who are just as eager to be
involved as our veteran members.
The NAMSS Educational Conference
and Exhibition is an event that we all
look forward to each year. This year, the
38th Educational Conference attracted
1,536 attendees to New Orleans and
660 attendees virtually - surpassing
every conference in our history as our
highest registration numbers ever! We
are extremely pleased with this turnout, as
it reflects the high level of education and
relevant programs that NAMSS continues
to make accessible to you, the members.
We hope you will join us in 2015 from
October 3-7 in Seattle, Washington for
the NAMSS 39th Educational Conference
and Exhibition!
This year, the all-digital version of SYNERGY
and the launch of the new monthly
newsletter, Gateway, have given NAMSS
multiple fresh opportunities for increased
advertising sales. These advertising
opportunities have proven to be very
popular, and we have seen revenue growth
in advertising sales for 2014. This new outlet
for advertising is something that we plan to
