TEXT & LAYOUT

FONT SIZE
Font sizes needs to be larger than a traditional print magazine so
zooming isn't necessary to read the text. A font size of 12 to 16
point works well for body type, depending on the chosen font.

FONT STYLE
Sans-Serif fonts work the best for body copy because it is
easier to read. Avoid Serif fonts as they can fade out on some
monitors. Examples of recommended fonts are to the right.
Serif fonts can still be used for headlines and subheads and to
create hierarchy in the copy.

LEADING
Leading should be 4 to 6 points more than the font size. Leading
will depend on the chosen font. This gives more white space and
allows the eye to flow through the text easier.

COLUMNS
Studies have shown that readers prefer to read columns that are
short or medium length. We recommend that the column length
should be 45-72 characters per line long.
