Technology and Operations has played an
important role in helping OppenheimerFunds
leverage technology and automation across
the business. The team is responsible for building and maintaining the complex infrastructure
that has enabled OppenheimerFunds to consistently and rapidly respond to clients' needs.
It has supported the integration of acquisitions, launched new investment platforms, and
helped facilitate the firm's expanded international offerings.
Often behind the scenes, the team has
advanced ongoing process improvements,
facilitated product rollouts, and added capabilities to protect the firm from cyber threats. It led
a multiyear network refresh to modernize our
equipment and support cloud migration. Employees across all departments have benefited
from the group's ongoing efforts and dedication, whether to complete computer upgrades,
install higher quality Skype capabilities, or
enable faster VPN connections.
Additionally, the team has rolled out Robotics Process Automation across the firm, which
has allowed for the quick automation of routine
tasks and helped maximize value for our clients
by streamlining processes. The Client Platform
Transformation has also helped to eliminate
data inconsistencies across business lines and
implement systematic processes to generate
more accurate client data.

OppenheimerFunds Gives Back

Between 2011 and 2019, attendees volunteered and the firm made grants
to help support local nonprofits in host cities including Atlanta, Boston,
Chicago, Dallas, New York, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and Washington,
D.C. Programs focused on activities ranging from assembling backpacks
for military servicemen and women and building wheelchairs for disabled
veterans, to assembling care packages, school backpacks, meal kits, and
hygiene kits for families recovering from natural disasters. Teams also helped
build model solar-powered cars and robotics to reinforce STEM skills with
children of local Boys & Girls Clubs.

Working across the firm, the Transfer Agent
(TA) supports client relations, intermediary
operations, monetary control, oversight, and
processing, while reacting nimbly to internal or
external environmental risks and trends.
For example, in 2016, the TA received
857,000 calls (46% advisors and 54% shareholders) and processed 607,000 pieces of mail.
The TA services 3.3 million direct accounts,
700,000 network level-three accounts, and 8.3
million omnibus accounts.
While handling such volumes, our awardwinning team is consistently ranked well above
the industry average by third-party rating agencies and received the National Quality Review
5-Star rating for 33 consecutive quarters.
