Tucker Arensberg Handles Appeals & Post Conviction Proceedings
Tucker Arensberg has one of the most sophisticated
criminal defense practice groups in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania. Our attorneys have handled high-profile
investigations and enforcement actions. But what really
makes this group unique is that they handle both
statewide and federal appeals and are a one-stop-shop
for criminal defense.
The Tucker Arensberg Criminal Defense Group represents
clients from pre-charge through the appeal and postconviction
proceedings. Criminal appeals are often the
most complicated areas of the law and clients need to
understand their options. The Tucker Arensberg Criminal
Defense Practice group has attorneys that are experienced
in a wide range of matters from both the State and Federal
sentencing process up through appeals and post-conviction
proceedings.
The group is comprised of three dedicated appellate attorneys:
Barbara A. Zemlock
has over 30 years of experience
representing individuals, businesses
and other entities against accusations
of criminal wrongdoing, on appeal, in
complex litigation and with complex
issues. Barb has argued cases on
appeal before all Pennsylvania state
appellate courts, including the
Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Barb
was one of the lead authors of the
Pennsylvania Supreme Court brief
that led to the reversal of Bill Cosby's
conviction. Moreover, Andrew
Salemme and Wes Mishoe (also
shown here) were very involved in
helping to prep for oral argument and
were also part of a moot court panel.

J. Andrew Salemme
represents individuals, small businesses
and other entities in complex state and
federal litigation from pre-trial through
appeal. Andrew regularly represents
clients in criminal appeals before the
Pennsylvania Superior Court, where
he previously served as a law clerk for
the Honorable Mary Jane Bowes.
Andrew was instrumental in revising
and drafting the Superior Court's
internal wiretap operating procedures
while working for the Superior Court
and assisted in the drafting of
numerous published and unpublished
criminal decisions during his
tenure. Andrew has also written a book
titled Guilty Until Proven Innocent: A
Practitioner's and Judge's Guide to the
Post-Conviction Relief Act.
K. Wesley " Wes "
Mishoe
previously served as an Assistant
Attorney General for the State of
Georgia in the Criminal Justice
division, where he litigated appeals
before the Supreme Court of Georgia.
Wes also served as a law clerk to
three federal judges on the U.S.
District Court for the Middle District
of Pennsylvania. Drawing on those
experiences, Wes has represented
criminal defendants on direct appeal
in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania
and U.S. Court of Appeals for the
Third Circuit. Moreover, Wes has
experience filing applications for
allowance of appeal in the Supreme
Court of Pennsylvania, has petitioned
for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme
Court, and has litigated complex
PCRA petitions.
