Criminal appeals are often the most complicated areas of the law and clients need to understand their
options. The Tucker Arensberg Criminal Defense Practice group has attorneys that are experienced in
a wide range of matters from both the State and Federal sentencing process up through appeals and
post-conviction proceedings.
The group is comprised of two dedicated appellate attorneys:
Barbara A. Zemlock
Barbara has over 30 years of experience representing individuals, businesses and other
entities on direct appeal and in post-conviction proceedings. Barb has argued cases on
appeal before all Pennsylvania state appellate courts, including the Pennsylvania Supreme
Court. Barb was one of the lead authors of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court brief that led
to the reversal of Bill Cosby's conviction.

J. Andrew Salemme
Andrew represents individuals, small businesses and other entities in complex state and
federal litigation from pre-trial through appeal. Andrew was instrumental in revising and
drafting the Superior Court's internal wiretap operating procedures while working for the
Superior Court and assisted in the drafting of numerous published and unpublished criminal
decisions during his tenure. Andrew has also written a book titled Guilty Until Proven
Innocent: A Practitioner's and Judge's Guide to the Post-Conviction Relief Act.
