UV LED OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF BENEFITS
Everyone who prints onto heat sensitive material is familiar with
the problems that can occur: warping of the material, thermal
expansion, and variations in quality, just to name a few. With LED
curing, these problems are addressed as less heat is built up. As
a result, the variety of materials that can be printed is increased.
That is exactly what the new swissQprint Nyala LED and
Impala LED models offer. In addition to material versatility, the
systems also provide the highest precision based on a mechanically refined basis. Furthermore, they are eco-friendly as energy
consumption is low and waste is reduced significantly.

HIGHEST EFFICIENCY
Impala LED and Nyala LED score with the highest efficiency
throughout their lifecycle. The printers are always ready to go
as the LED lamps need neither warmup nor cooldown time.
The swissQprint LED lamps work with individually controlled
segments. During in- and out-passing only, the segments of the
lamp located over the print are used. This also demonstrates
how the LED lamp technology controls the power consumption
optimally. In total, the LED system consumes 50 percent less
power than a conventional system. In addition, the system
does not generate any ozone or mercury waste, which makes it
environmentally friendly. Another benefit is the maintenance-free
lamp system, hence no more consumables cost nor downtimes
for maintenance.

Werbetechnik to choose the Nyala LED: "I can only name advantages when it comes to LED technology: shorter response time,

MATERIAL VERSATILITY
Speaking of heat sensitive media, LED curing extends the general diversity of applications. Thin films, foamboards, plastics,
and delicate textiles join the repertoire of material that the
swissQprint LED printers can handle. The swissQprint customer

this aspect: "The new LED technology is totally convincing.
Heat sensitive media is less prone to warping and keeps its
dimensions as it does not expand that much. I also consider it a

Besides, there is no need for expensive LED ink: SwissQprint
UV inks cure under both mercury vapor lamps and the new LED
system. In the latter case, the output software automatically adjusts the UV output power to the material and the printing speed.
This helps users to achieve consistently optimal curing results.
MECHANICALLY REFINED FOUNDATION
SwissQprint large-format printers are renowned for their print
quality, and yet the Swiss manufacturer never tires of further
optimizing them. There is a whole series of mechanical improvements in Impala LED and Nyala LED, which means there
is more to the new LED models than just LED. Two examples:
The beam architecture has been reworked for even better
stability, and swissQprint has ensured that the flatbed is indeed
perfectly flat over its entire surface: 126 × 79 inches with Nyala
LED and 98 × 79 inches with Impala LED. All those points
combine to create ideal conditions for pinpoint-precise droplet
placement and a homogeneous print image, while maintaining
the usual high productivity. Nyala LED achieves a maximum
of 2217 square feet per hour; the Impala LED reaches 1938
square feet per hour.
