Aslan Expands Metallic Film Line

EFI Launches Fiery FS300 Pro

Aslan has expanded its MetalEffect Aslan CA 23 series of high-gloss
metallic-effect fi lms, adding a rose gold option. The self-adhesive polyester
fi lm has metallic shading on both sides, designed for glass applications as
well as window displays, P-O-P merchandising, and interior décor. The
material is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, with an
outdoor durability of at least two years. Available in 49-in. widths.

EFI's new Fiery FS300 Pro platform, designed for corrugated
digital production systems and more, features a redesigned
Command WorkStation. New capabilities include:
* The ability to manage a variety of printers
* The ability to save rasters and reprint jobs more quickly
* A new view called "Home" that provides the status
of all connected Fiery servers and a summary of critical
production statistics
* New, integrated versions of Fiery Impose, Compose,
and JobMaster
* A simplified Imposition layout for creating gangup
templates to automate job imposition
FS300 Pro also features customizable prioritization of
spot color edits on a per-job basis. Enhancements to Fiery
ImageViewer include Object Inspector and Total Area
Coverage features designed for troubleshooting color
problems without returning to the source fi le.
In addition, the new platform features the Fiery NX
workstation, designed to keep operators comfortable and
to take up 20% less floor space than previous generations.
The work surface is height-adjustable up to 6 in., and
additional features include a proximity sensor that displays
Command WorkStation when the operator is near, an
adjustable 27-in. monitor, a 7-in. touch-screen display, and
Fiery QuickTouch software for quick access to job status.

Phthalate-Free Calendered
Films from Renolit
American Renolit has added phthalate-free fi lms to its
offerings. The line uses a re-engineered plasticizer,
which provides the same quality and reliability of
existing phthalate-based fi lms, according to the
company. The line is California Prop 65- and
REACH-compliant. Available in 65-in. widths.

Epson's new SureColor F9370 dye sub printer spans 64 in. and offers production
speeds up to 1169 sq ft/hr. The machine is designed for medium- to largevolume production transfer printing, with features such as an integrated fabric
wiping system and roll-to-roll media support for lightweight transfer papers.
Media handling functions include automatic paper tensional control and support
for heavier media rolls, as well as paper as thin as 40 gsm. Applications include
customized promotional production, soft signage, cut-and-sew sports apparel,
and home décor.
