Mimaki Launches Vision Media Line

Mimaki has launched Mimaki Vision, a media line including a gloss vinyl print
media, Mimaki Vision Vinyl; a matte and gloss laminate fi lm, Mimaki Vision
Laminate; and a UV gloss laminate fi lm, Mimaki Vision Laminate 310.
Mimaki Vision Vinyl is designed to offer stability, low shrinkage, strong
adhesiveness with little residue upon removal, and weather durability. The
vinyl features a two-sided PE coating liner to prevent moisture absorption.
Mimaki Vision Laminate is engineered for solvent printing, while Mimaki
Vision Laminate 310 is compatible with UV, solvent, and latex printing. The
310 laminate hinders silvering by reducing air bubbles while laminating over
UV ink, according to Mimaki. Each media is available in 54- and 60-in. widths.

Aslan has released EcoSoftTouch Aslan SL 109, a
self-adhesive protective laminate with a matte fi nish.
Aslan reports the laminate is engineered for indoor
use for digitally printed applications such as rollup and
popup systems. The laminate features a "velvety
touch," scratch resistance, and bright color reproduction. Available in 35.4- and 40.2-in. rolls.

Covestro has added two nonreflective polycarbonate substrates to the Makrolon
line: Makrolon NR and Makrolon NR-C. Makrolon NR is engineered with UVresistance technology for outdoor durability. The lightweight, digitally printable,
thermoformable sheet features a nonpixelating texture, dimensional stability,
and high temperature resistance. Makrolon NR's matte surface is designed to
reduce reflection and glare for applications such as menu boards and signage.
Available in 80.5-in. sheets.
Makrolon NR-C features a textured hard coat on one side for second-surface
printing. Designed to reduce glare and hinder abrasion and chemical damage, the
outdoor-durable substrate is engineered for harsh applications including display and
screen protectors, outdoor signage, and menu boards. Available in 48-in. widths.

Magic Reveals Durable Poster Paper

Magic has announced its WrapIt wrapping paper is being discontinued; Magic
GFIOP140 has been introduced as a direct replacement. The large-format poster paper with satin coating is water-, scratch-, and fade-resistant, according to
the company. Applications include posters, wall décor and murals, and retail
displays for indoor and outdoor environments. Available in widths up to 60 in.

Gold Thermal Laminate Film

polyester laminate fi lm. The print-receptive fi lm offers
an opaque reflective gold effect for applications such as
