Jonathan Merenlender and his father founded Printed Ink
in December 2012 in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. The
PSP offers a variety of applications, including silicone edge
graphics, custom acrylic laser routing, and experiential
graphics. With such a variety of offerings, the PSP needed a
versatile cutting solution that would increase their productivity.
In order to handle a diverse set of jobs, Printed Ink added a
Gerber MCT Cutter to their workflow.
"We researched a lot of options, as we had
many things on our want list," explains
Merenlender. "We wanted to be able
to cut rolls of over 150 feet of
fabric without any issues."

Previously, Printed Ink had relied on hand trimming and hot
knifing methods, which required two to three employees. Today,
thanks to the Gerber MCT Cutter, the PSP has been able to greatly
increase productivity and reduce its fabric trimming time from a
half hour to 20 to 30 seconds, while providing superior accuracy.
"We went from doing everything by hand to having a giant
digital worker who is very accurate and fast," states Merenlender. "The CNC router drastically cuts down on labor and
increased capacity almost instantly."
