Ricoh USA has released the Ricoh Pro TF6250 wide-format
flatbed printer. With production speeds up to 1391 sq ft/hr,
the printer features a 98.8 x 51.5-in. bed, LED curing, and it
can accommodate substrates up to 4.3 in. thick. Included
inksets are designed to adhere to uncoated media, with
additional inksets available. Ricoh's printheads offer
drop-on-demand and a configuration that includes CMYK,
clear, and primer for 635 x 1800-dpi images. Additional
functions: one-touch automated daily maintenance,
registration pins that help ensure precise registration, four
individual vacuum zones to hold media in place, an auto
sensor to adjust printheads to the correct height, and
full-bleed printing to eliminate trimming.
Vycom has released textured Celtec Woodgrain PVC signboard material.
Celtec Woodgrain is engineered to offer durability, low maintenance, indoor
or outdoor use, clean edges after cutting or routing, and resistance to
weather, impact, insects, warping, cutting, chipping, cracking, and splitting.
Applications include menu boards, interior décor, exhibits, and more.
Offered with a white finish in 4 x 8-ft sheets available in four thicknesses.

Roll-to-Roll UVgel Printer
Canon has unveiled the Océ Colorado 1650 large-format, roll-to-roll digital
printer. The 64-in. press features Océ FLXfinish LED curing with the option for
matte or gloss output for each print without changing inks or media; integrated
double-sided printing; and expanded media options such as uncoated papers,
polyester textiles, and SEG media.
The 1650 uses Canon UVgel ink with features including stretchability of
cured ink droplets with no cracking in applications that require cutting, bending,
and creasing, the company reports.
3A Composites has announced the launch of Dispa
graphic display board, a 100% recyclable, rigid,
lightweight substrate with a paper core and white,
laminated surface. The paper board is manufactured
with Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper and
is said to be easily fabricated, die cut, and CNC
routed. Applications include P-O-P displays, packaging, general signage, event graphics, and more; offered
in 48- and 60-in. widths.
