WHAT'S NEW WITH NEKOOSA

BIG PICTURE

January/February 2020

Nekoosa's mission statement is 'What's New?" It's simple and
catches your attention. It represents the company's ever-growing
portfolio of specialty print media and its desire to think differently. Nekoosa offers an array of products spanning four core
categories: Carbonless and Coated Paper, Application Tapes and
Premasks, Graphics and Specialty Print Media, and Extruded
Films. These main categories stem from the acquisitions that
took place over the course of the past 15 years.
In 2005, Nekoosa Coated Products, based in Nekoosa,
Wisconsin, was purchased under private equity ownership.
This transition provided a launching point for growth. Previously
3M's specialty paper's business unit, Nekoosa Coated Products'
carries on the tradition of manufacturing carbonless paper,
while developing a diversified portfolio of Synaps polyester films,
pre-magnetized sheets, and coated papers.
RTAPE AND CET FILMS In 2013, Nekoosa Coated Products
acquired the IGI Group, RTape (Application Tapes & Premasks)
and CET Films (Extruded Films), based in New Jersey to form
Nekoosa. RTape is recognized as the world's leading manufacturer of application tape and premasks for the sign, screen
printing, and digital printing marketplace.

MAGNECOTE In September of 2013, Nekoosa acquired
the MagneCote business to take full ownership of the brand
internationally. MagneCote, the world's first magnetic paper,
provides a pre-magnetized and cost-effective option for
magnetic paper printing.
CLINGZ In 2017, Nekoosa acquired the business and assets
of ClingZ, a Rio Rancho, New Mexico-based manufacturer of premium graphic media. The addition of ClingZ expanded Nekoosa's
specialty products portfolio for customers worldwide, extending its
technology platform to drive product innovation. ClingZ is an adhesive free, electrically charged graphic film that adheres to any dry
interior surface and is effortless to apply, reposition, and remove.
CATALINA GRAPHIC FILMS AND MOJAVE GRAPHIC FILMS
Most recently in 2018, Nekoosa acquired Catalina Graphic Films
(Graphics & Specialty Print Media), increasing their portfolio of pressure sensitive products. Traditionally, Catalina manufactured products
for the offset and screen printing industry, but evolved to develop
wide-format products as the print and graphics market converged.
Guy Leigh, Vice President of sales and marketing, expresses, "The Nekoosa product brands are known for leadership in
service, quality, and performance. We are focused on being the
supplier of choice for the graphics and commercial print marketplace." Visual communication continues to be an important part
of many companies' marketing plans. "Our goal at Nekoosa is
to increase our product awareness within the print and graphics
community while supporting our distribution partners to service
their customers," adds Leigh.
Today, Nekoosa is one entity: one company and one opportunity for distributors, printers, graphic designers, and end users to
discover an array of specialty print media for windows, walls, and

product launches to expand upon our business platform and
