X-Rite and Pantone have announced the redesigned i1Pro 3 spectrophotometer,
said to be more accurate, reliable, and faster than its predecessor. New features
include a custom, full-spectrum LED light source for single-pass scanning;
simultaneous M0, M1, and M2 measurement in a single pass while accounting for
optical brighteners so operators can predict how colors will look under different
lighting conditions; improved accuracy when reading smaller patch sizes (6 mm x
6 mm), correct calibration on ultra-bright displays with matching up to four
displays to a single computer and unlimited displays connected to different
computers; and optimized automated file creations.

Fisher Textiles has extended its F7 Certified line of direct
dye sub fabric with the addition of DD 4420 Nirvana Purity,
a treated version of GF4020. Nirvana Purity soft signage
fabric offers a pigment-coated white-back for opacity and a
built-in liner. The fabric has a slight stretch for a smooth fit
in framing systems; additional applications include hanging
banners, double-sided SEG, backlit graphics, and more. The
flame-retardant fabric is offered in 126-in. rolls.

Spiral Binding has added the Keencut Evolution 3 line of
wide-format cutters, including the portable FreeHand; the
BenchTop, designed to fit on a shop bench; and the SmartFold, engineered to fold under the table when not in use. The
cutters are designed to cut within .008 in. of a straight line for
the length of the cut, according to the company.
Features of the Evolution 3 line include QuikSwap tool
heads with the ability to mount single or multiple tool heads;
Double Graphik cut head tool with Graphik utility blades;
Lift-and-Hover technology for precise alignment (excludes
Free Hand); single-handed positioning, cutting, and clamping;
two-way cutting; and more. The line is designed to cut
acrylic, banners, corrugated plastic, cardstock, fabric and
textiles, foamboard, inkjet media, paper, PVC board up to
10 mm, and tissue. Cut size ranges from 44 to 144 in.
