PAIR OF DIRECT-TO-GARMENT

Ricoh has launched the Ri 3000 and Ri
6000 direct-to-garment inkjet printers.
Offering 6 and 12 ink channels,
respectively, the printers leverage
AnaJet inks for imaging on a range of
textiles including shirts, socks, canvas
bags, 100% light-colored polyester
garments, and 50% dark-colored
polyester garments. Laser-assisted
automatic table height adjustment up
to 2.3 in. enables printing on hoodies
with zippers and more; users can also
add platens for imaging hats, sleeves,
and youth sizes. Ricoh reports the Ri
6000 can print a 12 x 10-in. graphic on a
light garment in 27 sec; the Ri 3000
prints the same in 51 sec. Max.
resolution is 600 x 600 dpi.
Additional components include an
automatic ink circulation system for
white ink channels, a closed-loop ink
delivery system, and AnaRip software
that displays a preview of the graphic
directly in the printer's console. Other
features include automatic ink maintenance, automatic printhead cleaning,
and a power purge system.

ENTRY-LEVEL UV LED PRINTER

At the 2017 ISA International Sign
Expo, EFI introduced the Pro 16h,
designed as an entry-level hybrid roll/
flatbed UV LED printer. The standard
configuration for the 16h is CMYK +

two white ink channels; the printheads
provide four-level grayscale print
capability and resolution up to 1200 x
1200 dpi. Users can choose between
six print modes - in Production Mode,
the unit can print up to 476 sq ft/hr.
The 16h can handle rigid and flexible
substrates up to 65 in. wide with a
max. full-bleed print width of 64 in.
and max. substrate thickness of 2 in.
The printer features a vacuum-drive
belt system with variable control and
can handle rigid or roll media up to
100 lb. It is shipped with an embedded
Fiery proServer RIP and is compatible
with EFI's web-to-print and MIS/ERP
solutions.

RYONET

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Ryonet has launched the Sgreen
Distribution System, designed to give
higher-volume shops the ability to
eliminate the need for individual
containers for their screen chemicals.
The system can utilize up to four
pumps to dispense a degreaser, ink
remover, screen opener, and an
emulsion remover. Reclaiming agents
are stored in plastic containers, each of
which includes a pump, chemical line,
quick fastener, spray gun with a wide
pattern, and threaded probe. The
system features an air compressor to
pump cleaner to the spray gun and a
wall mount that can be installed near
the washout booth.
Ryonet recommends the system for
shops cleaning 50 screens/day, or a
minimum of 5 gal of chemical usage
per week. The system is designed to
accommodate 5-gal, 30-gal, and 55-gal
containers.

LED EXPOSURE UNIT

Workhorse Products has introduced
the Lumitron LED screen exposure
unit. The company reports the unit's
LED strips can last more than 50,000
hours, and will start and stop instantly
at the touch of a button. The Lumitron
is available as a tabletop or floor model
and features independent vacuum and
exposure time control.
Users can choose from a variety of
sizes for accommodating individual
screens up to 34 x 50 in., or two 23 x
31-in. screens. Additional features
include a clear tempered glass top, an
oil-free vacuum pump with illuminated
switch, a flexible neoprene blanket, and
a gas shock-operated blanket frame.
