192-INCH DYE SUB PRINTER

The D5300 DS sublimation printer from
PrinterEvolution offers the capability
to run 192-in. rolls or multiple rolls of
different widths simultaneously. The
machine includes an inline sublimation
calender, designed to increase capacity
and reduce production time. The D5300
DS prints CMYK using water-based
high-energy disperse inks, and utilizes
four or eight Kyocera printheads with
variable drop grayscale technology.
Max. resolution is 1200 x 600 dpi, while
max. print speed reaches 3440 sq ft/hr.
Additional features include an
integrated ultrasonic sewing system,
patented heating drum with electronic
setting abilities, inline cutting system
with six adjustable blades, 5-L bulk ink
feed, and more.

pure photopolymer emulsion. The new
formula is designed for hot summer
days; updates include humidity
resistance, improved resolution and
definition, and lime color to facilitate
thorough exposure and registration.

SwissQprint has released two new
large-format flatbed printers: the
Impala LED and Nyala LED. The
machines' LED curing capability
reduces energy consumption and is
said to expand the range of printable
substrates. The machines feature

The Impala LED model's bed
measures 98 x 79 in. with print speeds
up to 1937 sq ft/hr, while the Nyala
LED spans 126 x 79 in. and can print
up to 2217 sq ft/hr.
Both printers have an optional
roll-to-roll add-on and 4x4 variant.

ECO-SOLVENT, UV WIDEFORMAT PRINTERS

Paradigm Imaging Group has introduced the Pixis line of wide-format
printers: the Pixis ES Eco-Solvent,
available in 72- or 126-in. widths, and
the Pixis UV Flatbed, offered at 48 x 96
and 72 x 120 in. Both printers include
PhotoPrint Cloud software.
The Pixis ES Eco-Solvent features
dual Epson DX5 4-color printheads, with
a max. resolution of 1440 dpi and print
speeds reaching 430 sq ft/hr. The
machine contains a 1.5-L bulk ink
supply system with variable droplet size
ranging from 3.5 to 21 pL. Additional
features include an integrated fan and
IR media dryer, automated cleaning and
capping system, and three heaters.

Sawgrass has released Virtuoso Print
Manager 5.0, an update offering faster
printing with a customizable Auto Print
feature, ColorSure Spot Color Matching
Wizard, and better compatibility with
desktop graphic programs including
Silhouette, Graphtec, and SubliEvo.
The software is compatible with SG400,
SG800, and VJ 628 printers.
SAWGRASS

The company has also released an
update for CreativeStudio, designed
to drive sales with a Product Mock-Up
Maker tool. Additional new capabilities
include zooming, cropping, disproportional scaling, and more. The program
offers more than 9500 graphics, 1400
art templates, 1000 product templates,
and 250 fonts.

The Pixis UV Flatbed's LED curing
system is engineered for printing
directly onto a range of substrates and
3D objects up to 3.1 in. high, including
glass, metal, ceramic, acrylic, Plexiglas,
wood, plastic, aluminum, composite
panel, plywood, PVC, fabric, canvas,
leather, vinyl, and paper. The machine is
offered in 4- or 7-color configurations,
leveraging Ricoh Gen5 printheads with
variable drop sizes ranging from 7 to 21
pL for max. resolution of 1200 dpi or
photo quality output of 1080 x 1440 dpi.
Max. print speed is 252 sq ft/hr. Added
features include eight adjustable
vacuum zones, Panasonic Servo Drivers,
a 1-L bulk ink supply system, and a
printhead temperature controller.
