Here Comes tHe
Boogeywolf

Screen printers are known to be a creative bunch, and Boogeywolf (boogeywolf.com) has packed all that creative energy into
a 1995 Chevy G-Series G10 van. Chosen on Christmas Day 2016,
the horror apparel decorator's unique name is a tribute to the
genre's beloved boogeyman and wolf man. Owner and operator of the e-commerce shop, who goes by "Mr. Wolf," has one
vision for his brand: "to create things that I would love to wear."
Boogeywolf prints range from simple phrases to character

sketches, all referencing the horror genre and screen printed
with white and red ink onto black T-shirts, tank tops, and hoodies. Mr. Wolf hand designs each font and graphic, later digitally
distressing the designs for added character, style, and shading.
"This all fits in nicely with my own aesthetic of the classic, punk
rock, grunge alternative look while at the same time referencing
iconic characters and phrases from some of the greatest films
in the genre," explains Mr. Wolf.
Although Boogeywolf has recently moved operations to a
larger indoor studio, "working out of a van up until now has
been wildly entertaining and fun," says Mr. Wolf. "People enjoy
the unorthodox approach and like to see it all take shape and
manifest." Efficient use of space was crucial - Mr. Wolf could
fit one small press purchased from Merchmakr and up to 10
screens in the van, mounted to the ceiling and walls with a
system of magnets and bungees.
In less than a year, Boogeywolf has established itself as the
go-to vendor serving the online "horror fanatic" community,
with the company's Instagram account boasting 14,800 followers and counting. What's next? Touring the horror convention
circuit and eventually hiring a small staff, says Mr. Wolf. "I
dream of one day owning a small space, with the van parked
out front, broken down and rusting away. And being able to
say 'it all started in that van.'"

the Academy of
Screen and Digital
printing technologies (ASDpt) has
presented the 2017
Dave Swormstedt,
Sr. Memorial Award
to Mark Coudray for
his article, "the
Fourth Disruption: Why Venture Capitalists Are Eyeing garment Decoration," in
Screen Printing magazine. Coudray was
honored at the Chairman's reception and
the Academy Awards Dinner at this year's
SgiA Expo in new Orleans. the Swormstedt Award, presented annually, honors
the best technical article written on any
aspect of screen printing or graphic
imaging during the previous year.
Awardees are recognized for their
outstanding writing ability and exceptional industry insight, according to SgiA.
the Academy also presented Best in
Class Awards in five categories to the

Electronics 2017-2027" report on
the market, which it predicts will
reach more than $600 million by
2027. the report assesses more
