DUAL HEAT-ZONE GAS DRYER

M&R has launched the Sprint 3000
DHZ, a dual heat-zone gas dryer. The
machine features a single chamber
with a 72-in. split belt that can be
converted into two 36-in. heating zones
that each can be set at different
temperatures. Operators can switch
between single- and dual-zone operation as required, and the belts may be
run in the same or in opposite directions. Operators also have the option of
heating only one zone when needed in
order to reduce energy costs.
Features include a variable-frequency
AC-drive motor; M&R's Teflon-coated
fiberglass Patriot Belt and SureTrak
roller system designed for precise
dryer belt tracking; and an AccuSet
retention-time belt-speed controller
that allows operators to duplicate
settings, reportedly eliminating the need
to convert ft/min into the time
substrates will spend in the heat
chamber. A Job Recall feature allows
operators to store operational
parameters and recall them for similar
substrate/ink combinations.

Epson has launched the SureColor
F2100 direct-togarment
printer, up to
two times as
fast as the
previous
generation.
The five-color
printer (CMYK +
EPSON
white) features a new
self-cleaning system that includes a
fabric wiper and an in-line cartridge
that delivers a cleaning solution
through the printhead to simplify daily
maintenance. White ink is triple

filtered before reaching the printhead
to reduce the chance of clogging.
Using Epson's PrecisionCore TFP
printhead and UltraChrome DG inks,
the SureColor F2100 has new print
modes to expand the user's capabilities, including a Light Garment mode
and a Highlight White mode that
applies a second coat of white ink as
the colors are being deposited to
improve print speeds. Other new
features include improved Epson
Garment Creator software and a
quick-load platen with a garment grip
pad said to load more quickly than
traditional hoop platens.

produces prints with a smooth touch.
The ink is free of PVC, phthalates,
formaldehyde, and heavy metals, and is
reportedly Oeko-Tex Standard 100
Class 1-certified.

The 100-in. Jeti Tauro H2500 LED
hybrid UV inkjet printer from Agfa
features an integrated roll-to-roll
system and the ability to continuously,
automatically feed a variety of rigid and
flexible media, including several types
of corrugated stock. Printing in
CMYKcm + white + primer, the Jeti
Tauro H2500 LED uses 32 Ricoh MH
print heads with a 7-pL drop size, plus
the ability to print text as small as 4
points. It offers gloss and satin print
modes and can image media up to 100
in. wide and rigid substrates up to 157.5
in. long at speeds up to 2960 sq ft/hr. An
optional automated board feeder is
designed to process up to four boards
for up to a 30% increase in efficiency,
according to the company. The
machine features Asanti workflow and
PrintSphere software.

water-based ink designed for printing
onto cotton garments, light or dark.

simultaneously cuts polyester fabrics
for soft signage applications while
sealing the edges, eliminating the
need for a second
process. The unit
features an
air-cooled CO2
100-watt laser and
is designed to be
added to a digital
ZÜND
flatbed cutter and
then removed as needed. Zünd
reports no safety gear is required to
operate the laser, which has a Class 1
status and is fully enclosed. The
module reaches processing speeds up
to 144 ft/min.
