Mimaki has released the Tiger-1800B
inkjet printer available in direct-totextile or transfer dye sublimation
versions. The 74.8-in. machine offers
print speeds up to 4144 sq ft/hr, 16
staggered printheads for the direct-totextile model (8 for the transfer dye sub
model), 600-dpi print resolution, and a
10-L ink tank. The Tiger-1800B is
designed for applications including
fashion textiles, performance apparel,
soft signage, interior décor, and more.
Features include an adhesive belt
transport system with belt washing
technology and in-line heat drying unit;
wrinkle and media jam sensors; a built-in
PC with Q Print production control
software; a Degassing Module designed
to reduce clogging; and Variable Drop
Printing and Ink Circulation technology.
The dye sub model is equipped with a
Jumbo Roll Unit. The direct-to-textile
model offers optional Roll Media
Centering Unit, Jumbo Roll Unit, Plaited
Unit, and Take-Up Unit for high-density
printed fabrics.

quick loading and unloading, tight

styles. Configurations of the modular,
expandable Oval 4XL begin at 4
color/16 station and can be scaled up
indefinitely; custom platens and lifting
masks are available.

system features an array of 96 Blu-ray
lasers that define the image and expose
the stencil in a single step, eliminating
all consumables including ink, wax,
and film. The 25 x 36-in. high-resolution
unit gives users a choice of five settings
ranging from 847 to 2540 dpi; they can
also adjust the power and speed to
expose all types of emulsions and films,
according to Saati.

with Allover Printing System, an
automatic screen-printing press with a
max. print area of 43 x 58 in. Distributed

heat press is required to cure the ink.
Users can create and print designs
with Ricoh Design Software or an
RPCS driver, which allows for the use

The Ricoh Ri 100 DTG printer is 15.7
in. wide x 27.5 in. deep and is designed
to fit in a small space on a desk or
counter. The compact, direct-togarment printer doesn't require
existing dedicated print space and can
be used for one-off and short-run
prints, Ricoh reports in a release. The
DTG printer features an intuitive
heating system that removes wrinkles
from fabric for a smooth printing

of digital print media available in 54-in.
widths. New additions include:
n Silver Fusion, a peel-and-stick
wall graphic material with a silver,
mirrored finish. The media is designed
for repositionability onto dry, smooth
surfaces. Applications include exhibit
graphics, P-O-P and retail displays, wall
graphics, and more.
n Silver Odyssey [pictured], a
silver chrome-finished film joining the
DreamScape Flash collection. Silver
Odyssey features a deeply textured
emboss "reminiscent of a small-scale
maze," according to the company.
