Mutoh's 64-in. 6-color ValueJet VJ1638UR UV LED roll-to-roll inkjet
printer offers a staggered dual printhead design and dual UV lamps for
higher productivity. Features include
low-temperature curing for printing on
heat-sensitive media, i-Weave UV
intelligent interweave print technology,
an automated sheet-off function, ink
mist control, automated media
registration pin system, a four-zone
vacuum table with blowback feature
for simple handling and positioning of
heavy media, and more.
Compatible with environmentally
friendly, VOC-free Mutoh UV LED ink
in CMYK + white + varnish, the
machine allows for low energy
consumption, odorless prints after
curing, and the ability to print on
transparent and colored media.
Three-layer printing mode offers
high-density varnish effects; a 5-color
mode (CMYK + varnish) is available.
a repositionable, removable adhesive
backing that can be applied directly to
smooth, clean surfaces. Designed for
applications including menu boards, retail
signage, and child craft areas, the 6-mil
film has a slate-gray textured finish, is
writable with chalk or chalk pens, and
wipes clean with a damp cloth. The
substrate is CPSIA-compliant, and free of
PVC, lead, and plasticizer. Available in
widths up to 48 in.

Durst has revealed the P5 series of
printers with the introduction of P5 250
HS. Reportedly up to 70% more
productive than Durst's P10 250 HS
printer, the P5 250 HS debuts a completely new machine design that
includes MEMS nozzle plates powered
by Durst's data path and electronics.
The P5 250 HS can print up to 2583 sq
ft/hr in two-pass mode at resolutions up
to 1200 dpi, and is capable of offsetquality reproduction, according to the
company, through its 5-pL droplet size.
Additional features include a touchscreen user interface, Durst Analytics
platform for pre-emptive maintenance
and machine/consumption data, and
Durst Workflow software, a suite of
in-house developed productivity tools.
