Mutoh has revealed TP-11 water-based
textile pigment ink for the company's
ValueJet 1938TX direct-to-textile
printer. TP-11 is designed for direct
printing high-quality, durable graphics
onto natural-coated fabrics. Available
in CMYK or CMYKOG + blue, the
nonhazardous ink comes in 1-L bags for
improved work efficiency, according to
the company.

Creative Materials has introduced its
127-48 series of conductive inks
designed for manufacturing printed
electronic circuits onto washable
textiles. The inks are designed for
direct printing onto synthetic fabrics
including polyester, Spandex, and
nylon for such applications as wearable
electrodes, biosensors, pressure
sensors, and conductive wire replacement. They are reported to be stretchable, breathable, resistant to creasing,
and capable of withstanding a minimum of 50 wash/dry cycles with no
need for dielectric encapsulation to
ensure wash durability.
Three versions are available:
127-48, a highly conductive silver ink
for use in smart textiles and wearable
printed electronics; 127-48E, a
medical silver/silver chloride ink; and
127-48LR, a carbon formulation.

Vastex International has introduced the
LittleRed X2D infrared (IR) dryer,
designed to rapidly cure garments
printed on DTG inkjet devices as well
as screen printed with plastisol,
water-based, and discharge inks.
Positioned as a compact dryer for
shops with limited space, the LittleRed
X2D is available in two versions.
Model X2D-30 features a 29.9-in.-wide
belt; two 24-in. IR heaters; and curing
speeds of 240 garments/hr with
plastisol inks, up to 90 garments/hr
with water-based inks, and up to 26
garments/hr with DTG white ink at 3.5
min dwell time. Model X2D-54
includes a 53.9-in.-wide belt with two
48-in. IR heaters and curing speeds
reaching 480 garments/hr with plastisol
inks, 180 garments/hr with water-based
inks, and 52 garments/hr with DTG
white ink at 3.5 min dwell time.
Both models include a preheating
zone designed to maximize dwell time,
dual-zone heat controls to maintain a
consistent temperature, a powered
exhaust system to remove moisture
from the heating chamber, and a
66-in.-long conveyor with a low-friction
belt aligner and belt speed controls.
Additional heating chambers and
conveyer belt lengths are available.
