Stahls' is offering a full day of
education on Wednesday, February
12, 2020. During "The Complete
Guide to Start Heat Printing Team
Uniforms," attendees will learn how
to turn a roster into team numbering
for all uniforms and discover the
different heat transfer methods that
are best for the type of uniform you
are decorating, according to a
release. Tips and tools for successful
printing, sales, and solving top
challenges will also be addressed.
This class is being offered at the
Arizona, California, Michigan, Ohio,
and Texas locations. To register

SGP ANNOUNCES NEW CERTIFICATION FOR PRINTING INDUSTRY
The Sustainable Green Printing
Partnership (SGP, sgppartnership.org)
has announced a new certification
for suppliers to the printing industry.
The "SGP Supplier" certification is the
next step in the organization's mission
to further sustainability throughout
the printing supply chain, according
to a release.
The criteria for SGP Supplier
certification is similar to the criteria
for SGP Printers. There are requirements for management and production
operations that define sustainable
practices encompassing people,
planet, and profit. The draft criteria
document defines the core elements
of the SGP certification program
including development and adoption
of a sustainability management system
and best practices.
"The new certified SGP Supplier

program has the potential to improve
the sustainability of the printing
industry dramatically," says Jodi Sawyer, SGP executive committee, Flexcon
representative, in a release. "Certified
printers have far-reaching, positive
environmental and social impacts. Now
with our new supplier certification we
will help extend that impact into the
printing industry. Through the certification, suppliers will be productive and
profitable while at the same time help
provide a more sustainable future."
The draft SGP Supplier certification criteria is open for public comment through February 15, 2020, in the
Resources section of SGP's website.

SGP also held its first regional
community event at Bolger (bolgerinc.
com), a print shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 6 with more than
50 people in attendance from across
the print supply chain.
"'Sustainability at Bolger: An SGP
Community Event' provided attendees
with a wealth of information as they
heard from those practicing and implementing sustainability practices in their
respective workplaces," according to
a release. "The major theme emerging
from all presentations was the continued
need for transparency and that there are
advancements and opportunities to overcome sustainability's challenges."
SGP's next community event will be
held in Seattle, Washington, on January
15, 2020.
