New Event Focuses on Millennial Shoppers
The millennial generation is top of mind for all retailers these days, poised to overtake the baby boomers as the U.S.’s largest population group within just a few years. For those looking to take a deep dive into this demographic – and what these young shoppers mean to retailers rolling out new stores or evolving existing brands – VMSD introduces the IRDC Roadshow: Millennial Edition. On June 7, at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, VMSD will take a page from its International Retail Design Conference format with a one-day crash course in designing retail for the millennial generation. The rest of the day includes sessions focusing on more targeted research on this segment of the market, case study presentations from retailers who are getting it right, and a provocative Q+A with a panel of retail design students and recent grads who will speak firsthand on the millennial experience and point of view.
