Concept: A dash of wit and a splash of fun transform this international chain from street food to new casual dining concept.

FOR THE BIRDS
Based on the premise of “chicken as a universal food,” BBQ decided to update its menu and asked Londonbased JHP to shift the dining area into a cool place to hang. Eclectic imagery of chickens hanging on the wall is a nod to that idea.

IT’S A WRAP
Raffia wrapped around metal-framed lamp shades helps take the chain from its utilitarian roots to a more inviting setting for lunch and dinner.

NEW BRANDING
New impulse units at the counter sell branded sauces and personalized drinks to customers. The space also affords views into the kitchen area for a touch of live theater.
