LIGHTING
L i g h t th E WAY
This newest generation of lighting products combines the functional,
decorative, practical and energy-efficient.
There are also new approaches to design and function. A table light from German
craftsmen for Coldstream Group is called the Norma Jean (is there any other
Norma Jean?), presumably for its soft and curvy shapes.
And probably none is as environmentally responsible as the Mush-lume
from Danielle Trofe Design that is actually grown, using an innovative mushroom
material made from agricultural byproducts and mushrooms, creating a
natural renewable and biodegradable lamp shade.
But even for retailers who may not want an edible-looking lampshade, these pages
are filled with significant advances in illumination technology. -Steve Kaufman
