Be sure to mark your own calendar with important dates for VMSD's three major annual award programs, our call for International Retail Design Conference speakers, and our Retail Design Firm Resource Guide: Designer Dozen: We're looking for professionals age 35 and under making a difference in their firms with fresh ideas, innovative methods and get-it-done attitudes. If there's a rock star among your coworkers, supervisees or peers, nominate him or her - you can even nominate yourself. This program - now in its fourth year - has grown in recognition and influence, and it's a great way to acknowledge and celebrate up-and-coming talent. International Visual Competition: Our July issue's 21st annual International Visual Competition celebrates achievement in visual merchandising, storewide promotions and window displays. Retail Renovation Competition: Design firms, construction companies, retailers and suppliers are invited to submit store projects for our September issue's 9th annual competition showcasing outstanding renovation work. Call for IRDC 2015 Speakers: It seems like we just wrapped up IRDC 2014, held in Miami Beach, Fla. last September, but we're in full planning mode for IRDC 2015, slated for Sept. 9-11 in Austin, Texas.
