Ranked one of Ontario's largest light shows, the Winter Festival of Lights
illuminates the skies over Niagara Falls, putting visitors in a festive mood while
they check items off their holiday shopping lists.
THE FUN
More than three million glimmering lights brighten up the otherwise
dark winter evenings in this Ontario city along three miles of the Niagara
Parkway, bordering the Niagara River and Niagara Falls from Queen
Victoria Park to Dufferin Islands just south of the Falls. Bustling downtown Niagara Falls joins the show, too, with storefront holiday displays
and evening laser light shows.
The Winter Festival of Lights, which runs from just before the
American Thanksgiving in November (Canadians celebrate in October)
through January, includes twinkling window displays and 3-D animated
sculptures.
A dazzling fireworks show explodes over the always-inspiring Niagara
Falls. Bundle up and watch the multi-colored pyrotechnics display from a
snowy riverside perch or cozy up indoors, catching the action through a
restaurant window or from your Niagara Fallsview hotel room.

view of the action and don't forget
to verify showtimes for fireworks.
There is no admission charge
for the Winter Festival of Lights,
although a suggested donation of
$5 to $10 per car is taken at the
Dufferin Islands exit.
