HU 1-1: UWE GLAHN; VY 1-1: SCOTT HARRINGTON Star magnitudes TINY NEBULAE Humason 1-1 (left) and Vyssotsky 1-1 (right) are little gems southwest of Schedar, or Alpha Cassiopeiae, with Vy 1-1 lying farther from the star. Vy 1-1 is also the most distant planetary on our tour at more than 20,000 light-years. German amateur Uwe Glahn's sketch shows how he saw Hu 1-1 through the eyepiece of a 27-inch scope at 837×, while the author's sketch presents his view of Vy 1-1 through a 10-inch at 520×. 3h 30m 3h 00m HFG 1 CEP CAM ε Tr 3 HDW 2 IC 289 M103 δ β Simeis 22 457 2 3 4 5 6 7 γ τ M76 φ sk yand tele scope .o r g * DECEMBER 2022 23 Abell 84 AND η 7789 η θ PERSEUS Vyssotsky 1-1 +55° α Humason 1-1 Abell 82 Abell 2 Hubble 12 γ +60° IC 1747 CASSIOPEIA B-V 2 M52 κ B-V 1 2h 30m 2h 00m 1h 30m 1h 00m 0h 30m 0h 00m 23h 30m +65°https://skyandtelescope.org/
