The film chain, which is composed
entirely of Bell & Howell equipment,
comes complete with a 16mm projec¬
tor, a uniplexer head, color video
camera, and two pedestals contain¬
ing racks for the installation of video
tape recorders or other electronic
equipment.
An exclusive feature of the color
video film chain is that the camera
can be quickly removed from its ped¬
estal and with the addition of a stand¬
ard zoom lens can then be used for
normal studio use. This unique fea¬
ture enables a TV studio to use a sin¬
gle camera to provide film and live
telecast service.

cording to Richard Peterson, video
marketing manager. Units will be sold
through the company's video distribu¬
tor network to schools, commercial

"Film Facts" for Professional
Motion Picture Industry
Announced by 3M Photographic
A technical bulletin series designed
to solve technical problems unique to
the professional motion picture indus¬
try has been announced by the Pho¬
tographic Products division, motion
picture technical service department
of 3M Company.
Called "Film Facts," the first in a
planned series to be issued quarter¬
ly, discusses the formation, problems
and control of static electricity.
The series is three-hole punched to
fit standard reference binders, or a
special "Film Facts" binder offered in
limited quantity.
